Vincent Herbert

Vincent Herbert has been the man in the background of many famous recording artists the last ten years. He has a huge commitment and interest in music, which he obviously successfully channels into hit song after hit song.

Vincent Herbert is married to the R&b-artist Tamar Braxton, member of the group The Braxtons. Tamar Braxton's most famous song as a soloartist, "Please" was produced by Vincent Herbert

Vincent Herbert is the music mastermind who has created hits for Destiny’s Child, Michael Jackson, Jo Jo, Stevie Wonder and many more. He hired Lady Gaga as a music writer and was quick to sign her to his label Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records.

Meeting with Lady Gaga

The 19-year old Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta decided to put all her effort in her music. She rejected Def Jam that discovered her at that age, but got a new chance when her ex-boyfriend and co-writer Rob Fusari sent the songs he produced with her to his friend Vincent Herbert, producer and record executive at Streamline records, an imprint of Interscope Records, in January 2008.

This became the big breakthrough for young Lady Gaga, since she got the opportunity to write songs for big artists such as the Pussycat Dolls, Fergie and Britney Spears.

Lady Gaga credits Herbert as the man who discovered her, saying “I really feel like we made pop history, and we’re going to keep doing it.”

Vincent Herbert is rarely seen in public happenings. These are however two videos of Herbert, one with Lady Gaga in it as well.

Hello Lady Gaga,

Recently you shared your personal story of being bullied to a group of school children in the U.S. The international impact of your story with these children makes a difference that can not easily be expressed in words. Bullying is probably the worst form of torture for any child...I am part of a movement called 'No more Bullies', and, I have a special request.

I know that you are coming to Jakarta, Indonesia as part of your world tour. There are many large schools in Jakarta that have a pervasive BULLYING problem, where the schools don't do much because it can mean a 'bad reputation' that costs them millions of dollars (enrollment, school changes). Ivy schools don't like to admit that they have a problem - and they bury the reality and don't have effective preventative strategies in place. The kids are the biggest losers in all of this - the big fat private schools that are bolstering the future of this country's elite and expat communities send their kids to these schools. This generation of children will become leaders of tomorrow in Indonesia and leading international corporations, from all walks of life - and the kind of bullying I and many among my community.

My daughter wrote a letter of appeal to her Principal at Jakarta International School asking for a kindness day, asking for an assembly to promote empathy, to address the problems that she witnesses everyday in her school on the grounds.

My 5 yr old son asked me if he could DIE and come back to life again later in time...a victiim of bullying in kindergarten since August of this year.

I am asking you if you and your outreach team would consider a short video that can be shared amongst the schools here - with a poignant message to support the cause.

Bullying isnt local - it is a GLOBAL disease that children of all walks of life and no matter wherever they are should be empowered...

Schools need to accept their role to help empower children and take action with parents and communities - and we need strong messages to develop awareness of the not-so-evident psychologocal, verbal and physical abuse that takes place...

I kindly ask that you and your team consider relaying special messages and your experience and directed specificly to schools in Jakarta.

I kindly ask that you continue being a voice for thousands of kids - to help them realize that they have to tell, parents have to act, schools have to address the problems in a proactive way...

Any school will say that they dont have a problem, any school will shun admitting that it happens, schools will say that they have a zero-tolerance policy in place...

They do not walk the talk... it costs them too much if they are seen as doing alot - it suggests that the school has a problem...

Its a vicious circle...

I kindly ask you to consider outreach on the issue if possible.... Your voice is worth a million parents who are trying to push schools to do more and parents to act more....
